Portfolio by the numbers
In the past decade or so, I've translated, written or edited about 3.3 million words of text. The following table shows the number of words
I've processed in each subject area and the corresponding percentage of the total word count. The pie chart shows this same information visually,
but lumps all subject areas that represent less than 3% of the total into the “Other” category.
Legal documents represent a much higher percentage than is shown here, but I didn't begin tracking legal as a
separate subject area until two years ago. By the same token, the “General” category includes many jobs that belong in other categories but
for whatever reason never got classified (a chore I'm saving for a rainy day).
